1. What is iChinese?
iChinese is a new Chinese language learning methodology very much different from traditional ones. It taps the power of right-brain, making Chinese learning fun and easy. In one class (75 Minutes), students can learn 64 Chinese characters. We revolutionized the teaching by using American teaching philosophy and developing right-brain power.

2. What is the scientific basis about iChinese? (i.e., how can students learn 64 characters in 75 minutes?)
Human right-brain is 1,000,000 times more powerful in remembering than the left-brain. Eidetic imagery (EI) is the ability to retain an exact copy of a picture in one's right-brain after seeing it. People capable of eidetic memory are therefore able to "see" and describe an image in great detail after that original image has been removed from their sight. Eidetic imagery exists commonly in children and diminishes after puberty. Kids from 6 to 12 years of age exhibits highest degree of EI. Since Chinese characters are picturesque, we build learning materials which combine actual pictures and Chinese characters together. Because of the capability of EI, students will be able to remember Chinese characters much faster and easier.

3. Is my child at the right age for iChinese?
Kids 6-12 years of age have various degrees of Eidetic imagery (E.I.) capabilities and are mostly suitable for the iChinese methodology. E.I. capability diminishes gradually after puberty. However, due to self-motivation and desire to learn, kids older than 12 years of age will still do very well. Please discuss this with your local iChinese center.

4. How soon will I see results from my child at iChinese center?
iChinese is a fun and fast Chinese language learning methodology. You will see some change after first class. After 3rd class, you should be able to see your child making great progress in Chinese AND his/her attitude towards Chinese learning will be more postive than before.
Many kids after iChinese class will say "Chinese is easy" and "I can do it."

5. My child likes the iChinese class, but s/he has a piano lesson in conflict time schedule. What should I do?
We recommend parents prioritize based on return on investment (ROI) factor. After all, your kids will eventually go to college and have a career. Due to China's rise to world power and its economics development, learning Chinese will advance your child's future career, not to mention saving tuitions on passing the Chinese AP test. In generally, we let parents decide what's good for their kids. The expensive piano lessons may or may not have any impact on child's future career unless your child plan to be a pianist.
US Times magazine (June 2006) declared that in 21st century, Chinese is the language to learn, while 20th century English was.

6. How much time does iChinese require?
Most students attend iChinese class once per week and do brief daily assignment the other 6 days (Yes, we require students to review every day). In general, the assignment can be finished within 10 to 20 minutes. However, to learn 1,500 Chinese characters, it only takes about 6 to 9 months time.

7. Why I have not heard much about iChinese?
iChinese has chose to devote most of its resources to developing and innovating rather than promoting its programs. We grow largely by word of mouth.

8. How much different between the iChinese we have here in USA versus the one in China?
We revolutionized the original iChinese method by employing the American teaching philosophy. The curriculum is also customized to kids grew up here in USA. Furthermore, in the classroom, we have designed programs to help kids develop their right-brain, while that's not the case in China.
